Greetings! 

This virgin post kicks off a new blog for transportation and logistics industry marketing professionals! 

Another blog... really? 

Well, this blog is NOT for everyone. It's about content marketing... exclusively for marketing professionals in the transportation and logistics industry. 

You can find blogs about content marketing until the moon turns blue. You can also find blogs about transportation and logistics in more than sufficient numbers. But this blog looks at the marketing of small, medium and large companies in the logistics space. 

You might ask why a blog like this now? 

As a marketer, you know change has been rampant. New ideas, concepts, tools and technologies are flooding commercial industry. Marketing today looks completely different than it did just 10 years ago. Make that 5 years ago. 

It's confusing. Which approach should you take? Which technologies, platforms or techniques should you buy into? 

Now, add to that the complexity of the transportation and logistics business, and you have a challenge on your hands. How do you explain what your business does... in plain English?   

You have to do that before you can market or sell your products and services. 

It's not easy. I know... 

As a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), I have the experience and expertise to do just that. I'm also a certified SEO B2B copywriter.  

That means I know your industry. I know your business. And most importantly, I know your customer. 
That brings us to why I'm starting this blog. My mission is threefold.  

FirstI'll provide you with the latest about marketing in today's environment. I'll separate the wheat from the chaff.  I'll suggest different tools and technologies that will benefit you. I'll also suggest different approaches to what you do everyday. Most importantly, I'll eliminate the confusion created by the constant change you face in the fast-paced world of digital marketing. 

I'm a firm believer that "one size DOES NOT fit all". You'll see that in my posts. The point is that there is no single solution for everyone. I'll peel back the layers of information until they make sense, so you can make informed marketing decisions. 

SecondI'll entertain your questions about B2B marketing. Whether you're interested in the latest hot social media platform, SEO, upcoming trends, or even something more basic like print marketing, I'll cover it for you. 

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a walking encyclopedia on all things marketing for transportation and logistics. But I do have over 25 years of experience and documented expertise in the industry. 

I'll leverage that to get you the answers to your questions. Of course, I'll offer my opinions, but you'll  clearly see the difference between fact and opinion.  

And if I don't have an answer?  Then I'll do the research to get you one. The bottom line is that you can ALWAYS verify what your read in my posts.  My goal is to answer 100% of your questions - authoritatively!   

Finally, I want to create a forum for matters on B2B marketing and logistics. want to stimulate a discussion about B2B marketing in general, and marketing for the logistics industry in particular.  

As a marketer, you know you can't look at B2B marketing without taking your business into consideration. It's important to know where your industry is headed. That will impact how you market your business. 

To delve into that, I'd like to learn more about the challenges you face on a daily basis. I'd like to hear about your views on where the industry is headed.
